Well, in two weeks, I'll be on my way back to Kuwait. I can't believe how quickly the summer has gone by. I have had many wonderful moments with friends and family and it will be difficult to say goodbye yet again.
This past week I went to Waskesiu with mom. She attended the annual LEADS Summer Short Course and I hung out with friends from Prince Albert. It was a really nice time, despite the horrible weather. Yes, it's true, after two months at home, I am STILL freezing. Perhaps that is the only thing about going back to Kuwait that I am looking forward to at this point.
This weekend I am in Regina to celebrate my big brother's birthday. He is officially old...almost elderly! We've just played several rounds of guitar hero...so much fun! Hee hee hee. Anywho, I've enjoyed spending time with my brothers this summer. It's been a nice time for catching up!
The upcoming week will also be a busy one...I will come back to Regina on my way to Calgary. I'm heading to a wedding this coming weekend. My teammate from my first year on NET is getting married on August 15th. I am looking forward to having the chance to celebrate with he and his future wife.
The last week that I'm in Saskatchewan will be spent finalizing details before I head back. One more trip to the teacher store...did I mention I LOVE the teacher store. It's like my own private, happy place.
Still nothing to report on the voice...I still croak like a frog. Gotta love it! I think the most popular question this summer has been, "Oh, dear. Do you have a cold?" Sometimes I think it might be easier to say yes!
Anywho, I hope your summer has been a restful one. For those of you who have been basking in the the summer sun, let me know where you found it...I'll be looking for some of that stuff rather soon!
I will try to get one more blog off next week and then back to a more regular schedule when I return to Kuwait for year two.
Much love and many blessings to you!
Tylene
