Well, in just about 10 minutes (or however long it takes me to blog) I will be on my way to Calgary for my last weekend of the summer. I am off to a dear friend's wedding. It's not just anyone who can get me to leave my favourite province and head west when it's my last weekend home.
Did I mention that it's my last weekend home? I am feeling a little melancholy about heading back to the desert next week...just not in the right frame of mind to be there. I do look at the bright side, though...I will be warm again! It's been a bitterly cold summer, let me tell you!
The past week I've been in Regina for most of the time. It's been a great time with friends and family. I am blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. It is hard to imagine spending yet another year without these people by my side, but it seems no matter how far away I am, they are always near.
Next week I will be in Humboldt and Saskatoon as I make final preparations for Kuwait. I haven't begun packing yet and the pile by mom's door is getting higher with all the things that I need to find room for...never mind the oodles of clothes that I've bought to take with me.
Well, it's that time...I will get one more blog off before I go...then stay tuned for the return of desert diatribes (clever, eh!)
