Greetings and salutations from the Queen City!
I have been in Regina for the last couple of days and am having a wonderful time. I have been spending time with my brothers and taking time to visit with friends. It will most likely be my last trip to Regina in which I will have time to visit, so I am making the most of it, although I don't think I will be able to see everyone I would like to see
Today I went to the dentist to have a chipped tooth repaired. I always quite enjoy going to see the dentist...maybe because I really enjoy my dentist...she's a great friend! The afternoon has been quiet...just chilling at John and Michael's before I head to my friends' for a visit for the next couple of days! I am looking forward to some time with Ted, Paulette and Sophie.
Other than that, I have really enjoyed being "home" for the summer, although "home" is many different places. It will be difficult to pack up and prepare for my return to the desert. I am hoping for a good second year...now I just need my voice to hurry up and cooperate.
Oooh, I almost forgot...in recent weeks I have gone to the theatre TWICE! A festival in Saskatoon called Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan runs ever summer. I have had the chance to see both plays this summer...A Midsummer's Night Dream and Antony and Cleopatra. I enjoyed both shows considerably! There is nothing quite like live theatre. Shakespeare is so much easier to understand when you see it as opposed to just reading it in high school. Mental note, should I ever venture into older grades and teach Shakespeare, must take students to a live performance!!!
I guess that's about all that I have to share this week...more to follow, do not fret. Next week I will be in Waskesiu with my mom. I will send an update once I have settled in there.
