Well, it's the end of the day (soon anyway) and I am ready to head home. If all goes well I will leave in just a few moments...just need someone to poke their head into my room as my students come get their back packs.
I seem to have misplaced my voice :( I have been troubled in recent days with too much humidity and stupid dust that has my allergies all a muck. As such, my voice is gone. The encouraging thing is that it comes back. I just need to be extra careful. As such I will miss the staff meeting today to go home for some good ol' fashioned rest.
It is raining...however it's not helping the humidity. You know when it's really humid and you just need a good rain to get rid of the stickiness in the air. Well that's what we need. It's rained enough to have wet concrete, but not enough to kill the humidity.
It's the next day...the voice is still absent :( I will not be discouraged :) I will be optimistic that it will return once I get allergy things dealt with. Slowly but surely I will regain my health (and my voice)
Today we completed our Grade Five assembly. Went well, all things considered. It's an incredible undertaking and is over so quickly. The kids have a great time and I am glad that they enjoy it. Our class did a video showing one minute healthy snacks. It was a cooking show of sorts...complete with a class-written theme song. I am enjoying my kids this year. Too bad there are so many other frustrations.
This weekend will be one of strict rest (and a little bit of classroom work). I am looking forward to the weekend. In recent weeks they have been going by way too quickly. Luckily we have another break coming up in just a few short weeks (three to be exact). I think I will be staying in Kuwait again (the big Christmas in Dubai is forcing me to financially responsible). Regardless, it will be a good time...will celebrate my birthday and American Thanksgiving.
Sadly that is all there is to say about this week. It's been pretty low key. Always on the go (when I'm not home resting because I'm sick). The Corniche continues to be a joy. I am doing two classes a day from time to time...very difficult, but I am enjoying the exercise...isn't that the most important part of it...to enjoy the exercise.
Well, I will hope that next week there will be some exciting news to share...not that anything is in the works...just because there isn't much exciting going on in the desert this week. We'll see how it goes.
Until next time, enjoy the snow (tee hee hee), know I am suffering through the humidity and look forward to hearing from you WHEN YOU POST A COMMENT ON MY BLOG (did it work...do you feel inclined to do so? Come on...it'll be fun!)
Talk to you soon
Ty

Hello My Darling!!
I miss you!! I am sorry to hear your voice has disappeared. I am just getting over being sick... that great "Influenza Illness" that they won't specify a type, but tell me to quarantine myself in my house for a week!!! Not fun for this girl... hence I snuck out for a drive one day. I couldn't stay in my house any longer!
