Well, the flight home was relatively uneventful, considering that it's winter. I arrived in Saskatoon late last night - sometime after midnight. After a few hours in Saskatoon, and a new haircut, I am back in Humboldt perched in front of the fire place enjoying the aroma of the Christmas tree. The decorating of the Christmas tree will occur tomorrow, as I am struggling to stay awake.
I am glad to be home. It's been wonderful (believe it or not) to see so much snow. The back yard is snowy right up to the top of the deck. Perfect for snow angels and snowmen...just need some ski pants first. Mom and I will head back to Saskatoon on Tuesday - in search of some warmer clothes as most of my clothes are "cold desert" appropriate, not tundra appropriate.
Sooo, it's Sunday morning now. I didn't quite make it to my goal of 8:00 last night before I went to bed. It was almost seven and I was out for the night. Needless to say I am feeling quite rested this morning. Will limit my activity to decorating the Christmas Tree and house with mom. I wouldn't want to over do things on my second day of holidays.
Mom is officially on holidays now too, so we will get lots of time together and I am looking forward to it. We'll begin our Christmas baking and cooking tasks this weekend too. It will be a busy time, but as you know, I love these types of tasks.
I am hoping that this dreadful cold that I've caught passes soon so that I can go out and play in the snow. I have snow angels and a snowman to make.
