Well, summer is ticking by far too quickly. I must admit that I find it hard to believe that it is summer because it is soooo cold. Meh, what can I do about it...I bundle up and hope for the best. Nonetheless, a few 30 degree days this summer would be welcome any time now!
This past weekend, we celebrated Christmas in July. It was a wonderful party complete with a tree! I was so glad to get to see so many family members. I think it may become a tradition...that way we only need to be good six months at a time!
My brothers humoured me at this wonderful event too...they didn't mock the listening to of Christmas Carols. I love Christmas music. I really could listen to it all year long. People look at you funny, though.
Christmas in July was complete with a turkey dinner and, as all Christmases in our family, more desserts than you can beat with a stick. But ooooh so yummy. It really was delicious. This celebration certainly made up for missing Christmas in December, although I can't complain too much...I was in Europe.
Michael stayed in Humboldt for the past week. It was great to have some brother/sister time. We dry-walled mom's basement...what a handy-woman I am. Complete with worker's apron and tools. Michael rolled his eyes as I walked down the aisle picking out the most ridiculous things to but in my worker's apron. But it was fun.
We are now back in Regina. I will spend the weekend here before heading out to Kenosee for a week at camp. I am really looking forward to the time there. It is such a special place. I do, however, really hope that it will be warm!!!
And that's life in a nutshell. Grover has pulled himself out of the drawer he was sleeping in since we got home and has decided the rear view mirror is a great place to hang out for the next few days. He'll get to see a lot of the province, that's for sure.
Well, until next time...
Tylene and Grover.
