The Adventures of Grover and Tylene: The last week in Kuwait

Dear Friends and Family...

Ahemm...

(That means I'm going to be poetic)

T'was the last week in Kuwait, and all through the school
The teachers looked rugged and were starting to drool.
Construction was starting days early it seemed
They'd be tearing off roof-tops and ripping out beams.

One wing of the school would need to get packed;
And moved into classrooms where boxes were stacked.
That included the library and offices too;
It included 6 Grade threes and two rooms from Grade Two.

Even the office for Guidance would be;
Packed up down the hall, no more guidance for me!
Technology too is all now packed away;
It all was done Thursday, that made quite a day.

But now what is left is just chaos and mess;
I'm glad I'm on sick leave...to this i confess.
My room is all packed and ready now for next year.
And in just a few days I'll have just a few beer!

The days will go swiftly, they usually do;
Today t'was a pedicure and a manicure too!
Tomorrow will be one more "at school day"
I'll stuff my report cards and be on my way!

The rest of the week will be stops here and there
I'll find some neat trinkets, maybe something to wear.
And then when it's Friday 12, the clock strikes
I'll hop on a plane and come somewhere I likes.

Back to my home I will go in a flash
I'm so darned ready, I gots Canadian cash.
Look out my Tim Horton's I'm coming for you.
And in just a few days, my "Year One" will be through!

Can't wait to see you all. Much love

Tylene
