I AM COMING HOME NEXT WEEK!!!!
Okay, I know, I should start with a salutation, but really, I am so darned excited that I just want to scream from the roof tops that I AM COMING HOME NEXT WEEK. Unfortunately there is no screaming permitted. So, instead, I will write in capital letters that I AM COMING HOME NEXT WEEK. Perhaps I'm a little bit excited...
The past week has been rather crazy. I have completed running records, report cards and re-planned for the 6th sub in my classroom. In addition I baked 6 cakes for my principal's birthday, tutored a couple of hours and am taking today off. I'm pooped.
I do have to go to the clinic today and get my blood work done...that's a must. But that will require getting out of bed which, at this point in time, I just don't really want to do. Maybe I will leave that for my afternoon task.
School is ending a week early for elementary (I may have written this last week...I don't remember when I found out). Anywho, they are beginning the expansion of the elementary school a week early, which means that this Thursday is the end of the year. Teachers have to go in on Saturday, Sunday and Monday to pack up and move the library, computer lab and 8 classrooms, but other than that, all is done on Thursday. I have a mess of my own in my room to clean up. My kids are on a field trip tomorrow so I will get as much done as I can while there is no one around to talk to!
Packing to return home is also something that I should get started on...just not sure what to bring, my winter clothes or my summer clothes. It's usually high 40s here now...I suspect I'm going to freeze my butt off when I get home. High of 18...that's like winter. Brrrr.
Well, that's enough ramblings for one day, I suppose. I hope everyone is doing well. I look forward to seeing you this summer when I'm home.
Much love...

Hi, Ty,
What a great break - that this is the year for elementary school to get out early! But always a bittersweet time - to be cleaning up your room for next year!
When you pack, please be sure to bring all your pictures. With our slow speed service, we haven't been able to access the ones you sent or posted on a web site.
Susan and I are getting the vegetable and flower gardens planted. Yesterday it was a hot (to us) 24 above!
Enjoy the end of the year celebrations with your students and staff. Just remember not to talk too much! To save your vocal chords, I mean!!
See you soon! Lots of love, Lynn
