The Adventures of Grover and Tylene: European Inspiration...the second installment

Berlin

It took us ten hours, including two stops;
But when we arrived oh how my jaw did drop
For there right before my Saskatchewan eyes
Were the sights and the stories of History's lives.

We were now in Berlin, such a beautiful place;
And because time was short there was little to waste.
I saw where "the wall" had once stood years before
And I walked on the streets that were part of the war.

It's really quite awesome when history from books
is not just on pages but the places you look.
And to remember the day that the wall did come down
it means so much more now that I'm in this town.

Berlin is a place I will never forget
And I'll return here again, of that you can bet!
For there is much more that I'd still like to see
Including more markets with big Christmas Trees!

But tho' there was lots that was serious here
I did take time out for something quite dear!
A real Christmas market - oh there were a few;
And while I was there I bought a trinket or two!

And now that concludes day three and day four;
But keep reading on, trust me there will be more.
Tomorrow to Prague we will travel again;
For it's only the start so much more 'til the end!
