13 more school days left...wait make that 8!

Well, I'm all booked for surgery to repair my stupid ankle.  It will be fixed and in a few months I will be ecstatic.  In fact, the prospect of it returning to normal makes me a little bit happy.  There are a few things to fix up...not just the ligaments.  There is goo and gunk and bone to remove.  There are tendons to check on and perhaps tack into place, and then of course there are ligaments to repair and reattach.  All in all should be an easy time...hee hee.

I shall have a cast (not sure if I get to pick the color, but as you all know, if I get to pick the color, I will choose rider green)  I shall have crutches (do you think if I painted them green and white they'd be more fun to use?) And then I will graduate little by little to a boot and then a splint.  Back and fourth movement is great - side to side not so much.

I hope this means that by next Christmas I will be rockin' around the Christmas tree (corny, I know)

Now, many moons ago I promised you some pictures of mom's trip to Indonesia.  Since I have oodles of time on my hands (I walked too and from my doctor appointment and then to the mall, so need to take some time to rest) I shall start adding them now.  Are you ready?  Have a lime or lemon squash in hand and enjoy.  (if you don't know what a lime/lemon squash is, stay tuned, I will explain soon"

Taman Safari

This is my little ginger baby.  Do you see the resemblance :)  hee hee

This guy was perfectly polite.  Didn't invade my personal space at all.

Zebras are jerks.  They stick their whole head into the car and essentially put their nose on your lap.  Ewww

Bali - Hotel Tugu
A little piece of heaven.  This was the pool area where we had to spend many a day.

In the hotel van heading to the resort

One of the beautiful piece made from palm leaves.  So pretty!

After a hard day in the sun...our room

At the beach...the ocean was so amazing to listen to.  I love this picture of my momma.  I wish my face didn't look all squinty

Lemon squash.  Actually I think these are lime squash.  Lime juice, liquid sugar, and club soda.  Delicious.  I drink them without the sugar everyday at lunch and they are divine.

Our view out our hotel patio thinger
 Singapore
On the Singapore Flier.  Mom didn't want her picture taken.  She has since realized that when on vacation, it's all about the photos.

Walking through the gardens that are below the Singapore Flier...they think of everything

Even a little waterfall!
 Back to Taman Safari
I don't know why they don't upload in the order I click.  This is mom taking a picture of the lion with her WINDOW ROLLED DOWN.  You are supposed to open the window with the lions!  I'm surprised she didn't go thump it on the head so it looked at her for the photo!  Love you momma!
 Changi International Airport - Singapore
I met up with Jared Leto at the airport in Singapore.  Had to take a picture.  Ha ha ha.  I am a dork!

The airport in Singapore is just as beautiful as most botanic gardens.  So serene.

And a great place for mother/daughter selfies
 In SUB at Glow
Mom's nails are the pretty pink ones with flowers.  We got all glammed up before heading to Bali
 Taman Safari
This is the elephant that was going to squish us to death.  Mom kept throwing carrots out the window to him...in spite of the fact the keeper who was with the other elephants was saying "no no no"

Now, this is what I consider an appropriate animal to cuddle with!  He was so sweet.

Another ginger baby.  The baby orangutan was probably one of the highlights of the trip.  She was so affectionate and so curious.  Just a sweet little thing...and so human.
