A life less interesting

I'm starting to think that my life overseas must be a lot less interesting because I seem to have a lack of interesting adventures to share.  However, blogging is a way to keep in touch with the people who are never far from my heart, so here goes.

Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Remembrance Day have come and gone.  How is it that some times the days seem to take forever and yet, here we are, rounding the middle of November.  I just don't get it.

I'm just back from another weekend in Singapore. One of these times I'm going to go to Singapore just for fun...no time soon, I'm afraid, but someday :)  At any rate, my voice is doing well.  Next is to address the allergy problems that lead to repeated throat infections and laryngitis.  So rather than coming home for Christmas, I will spend five or so days in Singapore for a little bit o' surgery.  Fear not, Singapore is ALREADY decked out for the holiday so I think all will be well.  I will have my fill of merriment!

This week and next I will continue with my training in preparation for a 5 KM run in Bali to celebrate my 40th birthday.  It just so happens there is a run ON my birthday.  The 10 KM was not a realistic goal just yet, but 5 KM on a beach will be a feat in and of itself.  I am looking forward to it.  Here's hoping all comes together for a rockin' good time.

I'm nearing the end of my research class too.  When I'm not busy with school, I'm busy with University.  Analyzing and interpreting data takes a ridiculously long time.  I sent my methods paper off to my prof a whole week early, my report cards were done 8 days early and now I can just have a few days to chill before I start my next round of uni work.  I suppose it is better to be busy than bored, right.

Well, on that note I think I've rambled enough about my very mundane life.  I hope all of you are well...and warm!  We're not-so-patiently waiting for the rain to start.  It is just miserably hot here as of late.

Until next time!
