Well, seeing as I returned from Canada two days ago, I am feeling pretty good. Although, I think I spent more time in airports and on airplanes then on Canadian soil, but I wouldn't change it for the world.
It has been a busy two days since I returned, but that seems to be the general way of life. I wonder if there are any teachers who are not busy. Hmmm, perhaps that will be a topic of investigation very soon!
Last week I returned home for the memorial service for Fr. Banga. It was a really loverly time filled with laughter, a few tears, and many, many fond memories. I am so thankful that I was able to return to share in such a special day. I must say that I still find it hard to imagine camp without Fr. Banga, but being able to be present for the memorial was really important and really special to me.
My time at home was short, but also very much needed. Sometimes just getting away for a few days leaves me feeling a little more refreshed and ready to face the challenges of living abroad. The weather was almost decent, considering it was the middle of February. Now, don't get me wrong, I didn't miss all the blustery weather and low visibility days, but I wasn't driving, so it wasn't so stressful for me.
And now I must buckle down and get ready for the last four months of this school year. I am sure it will pass quickly (or at least I hope it will pass quickly). March brings our Learning Expo and Student Led Conferences. We also "on" for the assembly in March, so if nothing else, the month will just fly by! In May, I will start two university classes. They will take me through the middle of June, so I am sure by the time I am hopping on a plane, I will be most ready for a summer holiday of cooking at camp and going to University!
Before I get ahead of myself, I suppose I should finish this week. If I'm not careful, I will be looking to June far too soon and the year will drag on. So instead, I shall look to the weekend...a massage, a mani and a pedi. It's a hard life, but someone's got to do it! If all goes well, I will add a work out to that schedule, but right now my feet are still really sore and puffy from the STUPIDLY long flight from Toronto! Mental note: there is a reason I ALWAYS fly through Vancouver. Now I know!
And on that note, I suppose I should be off. And in case you're getting tired of my lenghty, picture-free blogs, my next blog will be a photo story. Aren't you excited. I suppose that will mean I will either have to do something worthy of taking pictures or go somewhere worthy of taking pictures. I've got it - SUPERMAL, here I come :)
ha ha ha
