It's not my fault!

Where the hell did November go? Seriously.  It was just last week that I was writing my November blog...so colour me surprised that it is now December and I haven't written for much of November.

Hmmm, what to chat about. Well since I last wrote, much has happened.  Clearly, November is a blur.  After returning to work following my never ending flu, things just picked up and flew.  Our fourth graders did a dynamite job of their little plays depicting their favourite scenes from Loser.  They worked hard to prepare their skits, and did a fabulous job with their presentations last Thursday.  I was so proud of them.  They are quite the group, when they put their mind to it.

The birthday trip to Bali was once in a lifetime...that will happen again and again if I have anything to say about it.  I can't begin to describe the amazing beauty.  I think that I get spoiled being here to begin with. So to see it in such an environment as Bali really does leave you breathless.

November also brought American Thanksgiving. We had a nice pot-luck at our director's place.  The last big hurrah in November was a talent show to benefit our local staffs' medical bills.  I had a blast performing two songs.  One as a solo and one, a duet with a friend.  It was really a Alice uplifting time.  Although we didn't raise nearly enough money to cover the cost of the medical bills, it was still a worthwhile event.  Sadly all the practicing, performing and a little jamming afterward has left me croaky like a toad...par for the course, I guess.  I will try to rest up my voice this week.

It is a matter of days now until I will be home for Christmas. Okay, so it is more like a few weeks.  however, I have enough fingers and toes to count the number of days now, so that makes it close.  Woo hoo.  I am excited too come home...even though I am sure the winter weather will be more than I can manage.

The last couple of weeks will be busy too.  Between regular teaching duties, the assembly at the end of December and getting ready to come home I am sure the time will fly by.  I am working hard at returning to a gulag schedule at the gym, but sadly it doesn't always go as plans because my foot will take a nasty turn with little or no warning.  However  I keep on trying.

Well, I guess I will be off.  I will see what I can do about getting some pics up from my Bali trip.

Hopefully there will be an additional blog in the next few weeks.

Missing you all

Ty

Hi, Tylene,
I'll try again to post a note instead of emailing.
Susan just came in to lament that she's stuck in the driveway - just a reminder of what you're coming back to!
Such interesting stuff you do with your students. It ALMOST makes me want to be in the classroom again. Not quite; I'm enjoying what I do now too much.
Hope you're feeling good again! Enjoy the trips. See you soon.
Love, Lynn
