The Adventures of Grover and Tylene: A picture's worth a thousand words Part 3. September 9, 2008

The Lulu Hypermarket.

Just the name has you curious, doesn't it. Now, unfortunately I can't show you many pictures of the actual Lulu Hypermarket because, as you enter the shopping addicts haven there are signs that forbid picture taking. I realize I probably COULD have snuck a few pics before the security guards asked me to stop, however, I wouldn't want to risk being arrested as I do not have my civil ID. I wouldn't want to be deported before having the Lulu experience.

For those of you who are Lulu lemon fans...no relation.

Steve (on the left) and Grover (on the gear shift) as we head out on our journey! We are on our way. Driving in Kuwait is an adventure in an of itself. Although I miss my Maggie (my loverly red Civic back home) I am glad she did not join me for my time in Kuwait. Had she, there would be little left of her!

When one has a magnetic travelling companion it is always a perk when one finds something magnetic to which said travelling companion can be attached for a photo opportunity. Now, what more can you ask for than dream mall parking. This isn't just any mall parking...it's DREAM MALL. Ooooh, so exciting (i'm a bit of a dork!)

The day we took our trip to the Lulu Hypermarket was one of the most humid days in Kuwait. Grover couldn't believe that temperatures reached the 50s, so we took this one for all you back home who are shivering with your early onset of winter. Yes, the dial does read 51. Yes, that is celcius. Yes, it was hot.

After all the excitement of the Lulu Hypermarket AND temperatures in the 50s, Grover was in need of some "me time". He was quite content to perch behind Steve's seat and rest for a little while.

You don't need to just look at the landscape in Kuwait to see something beautiful, it would appear that the back of buses is also a great place to add a little touch of beauty. I must say it beats the "artwork" on buses back home.

On our drive home, Steve detoured so that we could take a drive along Gulf Road and see some of the beauty of the Gulf...I have a thing for Palm Trees...

One of many mosques in Kuwait. Most of the mosques are square. This pyrimidish mosque is quite unique.

If I were a good tour guide, I could tell you what the structure in the distance is...unfortunately I'm just all about the palm trees.

Grover was really quite content after his day of sightseeing in Kuwait. A big thanks to Steve for showing us around town. The day of the Lulu Hypermarket was quite an adventure, let me tell you!
Until the next installment of The Adventures of Grover and Tylene: A picture's worth a thousand words...
