This is the pineapple that Ibu Rose brought me from the market. It is perhaps the smallest pineapple I've ever seen. It was maybe the size of a smurf - 3 apples tall...maybe
This is my bedroom. It is strange to have a king sized bed to myself and not have to fight with Henry or Ella for space. My bed is always made perfectly. I'm fairly certain Ibu Rose does not believe my attempts at bed making are adequate and re-makes it every morning...even when I'm extra careful and tuck corners!
If you look really close, you'll see Grover has accompanied me on my Indonesian Adventures. He's on the dresser. My new laundry hamper (end of dresser) was one of my first purchases
This is perhaps, one of the coolest parts of my apartment. My walk-in closet/ bathroom/vanity and shower area. It's so fun to have so much space. This is, however, where the creepy critter made its appearance Monday morning (I think I blogged about it)
My second bathroom...because every single woman needs two full bathrooms in her apartment. I use this one from time to time so it doesn't feel lonely. I bought the floor mat, garbage can (which you can barely see) and two funky decorative baskets that sit on the vanity. It was all part of my shopping extravaganza this past weekend.
This is my spare bedroom. I know - it has a little bed, but there is ample closet space and the room is big enough to put a larger bed in. But so far, I have no confirmed guests, so I will hold off on additional furnishings.
This is my living room - looking from my bedroom toward my front door. You can see the patio doors - I have two patio doors that size.
This is my living room looking from my front door. I know it is very stark and bare right now, but give me a while, I just got here a few weeks ago, my shipment is in Canada and I only found out today that I was offered an additional 2 year contract. Hee hee hee. This is me breaking the news. Faithful blog followers ought to be the first to know!
This is my dining room table. It's tiny tiny, but it works for me. I don't anticipate hosting 32 any time soon (at least not this year) so when a larger table is needed, I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
My new table runner - a purchase at the Friday Night Shopping extravaganza. There are also matching napkins that I think are super cute.
From my kitchen entry way. Please note the copious amounts of cupboards. I have tupperware containers in one cupboard, then I have the lids in drawers according to shape - I have more space than I can beat with a stick. No, I am not complaining.
Hee hee hee - big oven. 4 normal sized burners and one long one for things like roasting pans or big pots. Very exciting. I had Ibu Rose teach me how to light my oven last week.
My kitchen from the wall o' cupboards. I have a beautiful window that looks out into the back area. I have a gecko that pops by to say hello sometimes and I have these itty, bitty ants that are a total pain in the ass, but all in all I really like my kitchen. Ibu Rose cooks for me on Tuesdays and Thursday. I cook the rest of the time.
And that, my friends is the first Indonesian photo blog. It was easier than I thought. Perhaps I won't have to bribe you with comments after all.
I shall have some "outside" pictures up soon. I will also take some at school this week and get those up and running too so you can see where I will be working for the next few years.
Love ya lots,
Tylene & Grover (he's been a little pissy that he's not been included in the signature lately) poor Grover.
