It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

Okay, so we don't have snow, but the weather is chilly.  Sweater weather EVERYDAY.  Even when I go out on the track to walk, I have to wear a hoodie (bunny hug for your Saskatchewan folk).  I refuse to turn my heat on in my apartment.  I snuggle up with Henry, a hot water bottle and I'm settled for the night.  I sometimes wonder who throws off more heat; Henry or the hot water bottle.  Speaking of the hotwater bottle, a shout out to my dear cousin who made the best little "vest" for the hotwater bottle.  Positively delightful.

You'll be happy to know that after 12 hours of concern, all babies and momma cat have returned to the garden.  We were missing the timid little orange and white one as well as momma cat.  They didn't come for bedtime (they sleep on my stoop) nor did they come for breakfast.  However, last night at supper all seven babies and one momma cat were again, accounted for.  It would appear that momma cat, in her absence,  has arranged for baby sitters.  I find it peculiar when the little guys are curled up with the big white tom cat (who is very sweet and lets all the babies eat first before he has leftovers) or the odd looking orange cat.  Please note, I still have not named a single one of them, which means I am quite successful in my attempts to keep them out of my heart.  Keeping them out of my kitchen, on the otherhand, takes careful skill and quick reflexes.

My voice is on holiday.  It decided part way through the rest of our read aloud that it no longer needed to exist.  I had a student finish the reading, and one of our wonderful teachers, who works with one of my students during math time, offered to be my voice for the course of the lesson.  She is just delightful.  I am so glad to have the opportunity to work with her.

I am really looking forward to next weekend.  Although there are many things about Kuwait that I don't enjoy, I am looking forward to seeing so many wonderful friends.  I also get to have a parrafin pedi on my birthday - what more can a girl ask for.  Whoot whoot.

So all in all, life is ticking along.  Soon I will be older.  Hopefully I continue to grow wiser.  I feel positively relaxed - still - after my holiday.  I enjoy my community, the teacher I work with and my class.  It's been great to see them grow into the students they're becoming.  Now, if only it took the usual 2 weeks instead of the 3 months!  Oh well, we're here now!  Things only go up from here.

Again not much excitement to report.  Will blog with you all very soon.
Until next time

Ty
